HUMAN RIGHTS
& SOCIAL POLICIES

* GUN CONTROL

I say no to gun violence. I say yes to gun control now.

I stand up againts gun violence and all forms of violence. More restrictive gun laws are necessary in order to reduce gun violence in the short term.

At the same time we have to take action on other levels of society in order to make a change in the long term. Gun violence is a multidimensional and multidisciplinary problem and it requires a systemic approach and a network of resources and actions on different levels of society, in the short, medium and long term.

Here my 6 Prevention Strategies.

1. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS in schools to develop the culture of non-violence and a culture of safety.

2. COMMUNITY PROGRAMS to promote resilience and wellbeing.

3. INVEST in marginalized populations and reduce concentrated disadvantage.

4. INVEST in new employment opportuities and re-qualification programs.

5. Easy access to qualified SERVICES of social, mental and emotional support.

6. More restrictive GUN LAWS and expand background checks for all gun sales.

* VOTING RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY

The right to vote is the foundation of democracy. Democracy i under threat in many parts of the world and now more than every we need to take care of our rights. When we defend Democracty we defend our fundamental rights. It's about people, not politics. what is happening in the USA is a threat to Democracy. Voter suppression is not a strategy to limt voter fraud. It's a strategy to limt the right to vote and this is not democracy. Restrictive voting laws are a serious threat to Democracy and our fundamental rights. Defending the right to vote is about people, not politics and it should not be a partisan issue.

THE ABILITY TO VOTE IS A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT OF DEMOCRACY.

FOR THE PEOPLE ACT and THE JOHN LEWIS VOTING RIGHTS ACT are two crucial steps in order to fix the system.

* ABOLISH THE DEATH PENALTY

Here 3 main reasons to abolish the death penalty.

1. The death penalty violates the right to life. Life is sacred.

2. There will always be the risk of executing an innocent person.

3. The death penalty doesn't give the guilty person the possibility to repent.
